Preparing for Change

Well what a year it has been. We've all faced months of not really knowing what comes next and although everyone's Covid experience is very different, as we begin, we hope, to see a return to some kind or normality, it’s important to focus on the future and the opportunities that might bring.

There is talk of an economic downturn and for some sectors that's true, but July saw a positive increase in the way the British economy performed and let us hope it is a step in the right direction.

For many SME's that are recovering from the first half of 2020, challenges are there to be faced. For those businesses that have fared better during these extraordinary times, one thing is true, the need for good, strategic, and focused marketing has never been more important. Good and considered marketing will keep customers engaged, prospects interested and ensure your brand is out there, helping growth or recovery whether it be now or in the future.

Effective marketing does not have to come at an outrageous cost either. Understanding your audience enables you to use the right channels to target them and having the right marketing plan is the key to that success.

Making sure you understand your own proposition, how it compares with others, your audience and why & how people would buy your product are the questions any good marketer should be asking of you and your business so the best plan is in place to help your business thrive.

A plan offers a benchmark for success. It helps to establish where you have come from, where your business wants to be and how it will achieve what it needs to using the right information and channels to achieve the best possible outcomes. A plan will help you to budget, to better understand gaps in resource and to consider how marketing best supports sales, business development and other processes you have within your business to manage client relationships and win work.
